Description

Dirlagrauna is an archfey bound to the dagger inside Shiekan Kamala's chest.

Appearance

Dirlagrauna's true form is that of an enormous displacer beasts, with wings. It has piercing feline yellow eyes which unnerve any who talk to her.

Personality

Dirlagrauna is a malicious trickster, like most of the Unseelie. She is cruel and selfish, driving those who wield her prison, to take more risks and hoping to convince them to feed her more souls. She had no reservation about consuming the souls that Imar Al Sharif would feed her and was happy when Omar intended to resume the rituals.

History

Early History

Centuries in the past, Dirlagrauna was a member of the Unseelie Court in the Feywild. For unknown reasons, she rebelled against the Queen of Air and Darkness, but was unsuccessful in her usurpation attempt. For her crimes, she was punished. She was bound inside a magical dagger which was thrown in to the Material Plane.

There she was found by Imar Al-Sharif, who she manipulated in to feeding her souls to regain her power. In exchange she promised to make him king. Eventually he founded the city of Almasuan and ruled it for generations with the help of the dagger. While doing so, he assumed the title of "The Malakagata".

Eventually Almasuan was destroyed by a flood, caused by the Queen of Air and Darkness and Imar's descendants, having seen the evil of the dagger, decided to keep guard of it. As such, Dirlagrauna found herself a prisoner twice over, with the Sharif family protecting the blade for generations. Eventually, one of them would decide to make use of the dagger, betraying the rest of his relatives. That man was Omar Sharif. He intended to use the dagger and slay the current ruler of Almanat, however before he could do so, he was attacked by Shiekhan Kamala. Shiek stabbed Omar with the dagger and in the process performed a incomplete, broken version of the ritual of the Malakagata. This left Shiek in Omar's body, semi-dead with the dagger stuck inside of him.

Current

Shiek would flee Almanat and head to Ikoval. There he would meet his future party members and eventually encounter agents of the Unseelie, working for Midnight. Shiek would discover that Midnight sought Dirlagrauna's assitance in rebelling against the Queen and wished to free her. This would cause Dirlagrauna to begin communicating with Shiek, presenting him with a gift - the ability to summon one of her brood, a displacer beast. She would offer him more power, if he was to begin taking more risks.
