Description
Sardior is the draconic deity of gemstone dragons, presiding over the domains of Freedom and the Night. She was originally killed by Tharizdun, at the end of the Old World and her corpse was left floating in the Astral Sea, until she was resurrected with the help of the Order of the Brown Dragon.
Appearance
Sardior's true form is that of an enormous serpentine dragon whose long and sinewy body was covered with deep ruby red scales. Such was her size, that the remains of her torso alone, were over a kilometer in length, while the parts of her shattered libs formed a wide asteroid field. When showing herself to mortals, she often takes the a much smaller form of the same sepentine appearance or that of a ruby dragonborn.
Personality
Not much is known about Sardior's demeanor prior to her death. After her return, she showed herself to be thoughtful and determined, immediately agreeing to help the Order face off against the very power that once destroyed her. When with friends, Sardior's playful demeanor comes through, revealing her true self. She is reputed to be a great conversationalist, with a sharp wit and vast knowledge of various topics. As a result of her friendship with Sardielr Koskides, she has left her kin, truly untethered from her will, allowing gemstone dragonkind to choose their own path.
History
From the little history that remains of the Old World, it is revealed that Sardior was called the "Firstborn of Dragonkind", naming her the first creation of Bahamut and Tiamat. She presided over the domains of "Darkness" and "Secrets". At some point, near the end of the fight against the Chained Oblivion, she met with him, in the hope of ending the war. He instead used the chance to deliver, what would eventually be, a mortal blow to her. For arranging the meeting, she was seen by some of the other gods as a traitor. When the Old World was about to be sealed, she managed to use the last of her power, to transfer to the new one, before succumbing to her wounds.
Worship
In the Old World, Sardior was worshiped by gemstone dragonkind, as well as other races, particularly those with psionic abilities. After her death, gemstone dragonkind faced extinction, with the only ones remaining being her Thanes and her most devour worshippers, lead by Tatyan, who had come through with her.
Following her return and the scattering of the dragon eggs, borne from her body, her kin have increased. After raising her palace into the sky, as a new moon, marking the start of a new era, many have turned their worship to her. She welcomes all, regardless of birth or background, accepting even dragons of other descends.
Symbols
Sardior's holy symbol is a ruby covered in shadow pierced by the light, of a single point of ruby-red light coming from the centre of the gem.
Places of worship
Having only been back for less than two-decades, not much is known or solidified about the places of worship for the goddess. Her holiest site would be her own home on the ruby moon, inaccessible to all, but those closest to her.
