General

Konskirav is a city in the northern part of Dragomir. Starting off as nothing more than a neutral ground where the clans could set-up camp together peacefully and trade, it has now become the largest city in northern Dragomir and a key station for the new railway.

Description

Konskirav is a city which changes constantly. The main part of the town consists of permanent buildings, where local traders craftsmen and workers stay. The central buildings are often built with fort-like stone walls and feature multiple overhanging stories. Around those are humbler wooden buildings, where regular people reside. What makes Konskirav unique, is the people living outside the permanent part of town. Thousands of members of the clans set-up camps outside of the town. Their lodgings range from small tents to huge ones all decorated with the symbols of their corresponding clans. During the the Grand Market days, every 15th of the month, the visitors reach their peak, as many important members of the clans arrive with their retinues, causing the central part of the town to be almost lost in the sea of cloth and raising smoke. The only clan one to keep a permanent base is the Yuzhen Clan, which has an enclave in the south-west of town, made up of a number of large buildings, including a spacious guest house.

The area where the town stands is considered sacred ground by the clans, which made the new addition of the railway track greatly disliked. Cutting through its western part in a north-south direction it split the town into two. The train stations is placed in the middle of town, right next to the Grand Market.

History

Past

What would become, Konskirav started off as a gathering of the clans, who would setup camp on this sacred ground regularly to hold their meetings peacefully. They could discuss and trade without fear of attack, as anyone who would dare spill blood on this land would afce repercussions from all of the clans. Eventually traders started settling the place permanently and a village formed. Throughout the years it proved to be a fine location for commerce, standing between what would become Skalenvru and Dragomir and the town grew from there. The next important change transpired when King Dragomir sought to unite the clans. Taking control of Konskirav, he established his allies the Yuzhen clan as permanent occupants, which the rest of the clans disliked, but understood that he still respected the land.

Current

The construction of the railway was a very controversial move for Konskirav. The local traders and craftsmen enjoyed the idea of having easier access to supplies and potential customers, but the clans saw it as disrespectful to the land. The railway would scare the horses, for which the town was named and resulted in the displacement of many clan members, whose domiciles had to be destroyed to make room.
