Biography

Early Life

Diane was the only daughter of the Atanasoff couple. Not much is known about her youth. At some point she married a man and they lived in the Atanasoff estate with the rest of her family. It is not known what happened, but Diane has since remarried to Tomo and moved out to their house in Stendolin.

Current

The party first met Diane in Waukeen's Walk, when they were shopping for gemstones to resurrect Ysomir. She was surprised to hear of Enreldus's return and even more so that he was staying with Ruben. After learning more about what they do, she offered them a job, asking to meet at her house later in the day to discuss the details. At her house, she explained the job to them, tasking them with clearing out one of their mines from the elementals which had been killing the miners.

When the group returned, they collected their reward from her and went to head out. Before they did, she slipped them a note, warning then of an invisible fey following them. The next day, she met them at the store, where she identified the elemental glass shards they had collected.

Their next meeting would be in the aftermath of the collapse of the temple's tower and the death of the Emisar. Diane was amongst the community leaders heading to meet the First Boyar and be told of the situation. After finding out about the group's involvement, she pushed for a delay in informing Dragomir, in order to give them a chance to investigate. Her hope was that the group could be exonerated.

A couple of days later, she walked to her front door to see her older brother Vincent for the first time in years. They embraced and she welcomed him inside, happy for him to stay with them instead of being stuck with Ruben and the servants at the family manor. The party caught her up to speed on the investigation into their actions and she told them it would likely be Dr Stanov who is sent to assess the situation. She gave them more information about the man and they chatted for a while. Before they left, she brought out a pair of golden scales and told them of the Penance and Co. auction house in Skalenvru where she had purchased them from. When asked about the Garden of Delights, she went quiet, before walking up to a shelf and grabbing a book which she then handed to Valeyo. It was annotated and parts of it were highlighted, revealing that she knew about their family's servants' true nature.

Following the investigation's results and the concessions made by the Crown, Diane would work on helping organize the first democratic elections of Stendolin.

Relationships

Ruben

Much like with Vincent, Diane seems to have a hard time tolerating her brother. There is some tension, regarding her second husband Tomo, who Ruben appears to disapprove of, due to his low status.

Vincent

Diane's relationship with Vincent appears much better than that with Ruben and the two of them get along well. She is the only person Vincent has been seen allowing physical contact to, as the two of them hugged upon his return.

Tomo

Diane and Tomo have been married for years and seem to have a good relationship. They share a hobby of dancing which they often do at home.

Joanna

Joanna is Diane's trusted servant and apparent bodyguard. It is unknown if Diane knows of her true nature, but given her awareness of the main house's staff, it seems likely.
