Description

Danil was an Emisar of the Kingdom of Dragomir and a member of the Violet Flame Cult obsessed with the creation of vampiric creatures that could walk in the sun.

Appearance

Danil is a handsome half-elf with shoulder length hair, wearing gilded robes. On his finder shone his ring bearing the symbol of Dragomir and designating him as one of the king's Emisars.

Personality

Danil is a cruel and obsessive man, with no regard for the good of the realm. He withdrew Sila forces from the roads, allowing giants to run rampant and tortured Rune Olson for years, injecting him with all manner of serums. He is nonetheless cunning and keenly aware of his power, completely disregarding Milivoj as a threat during their meeting.

Biography

Early Life

Danil had been a member of the Emisars for a number of years, being familiar with Milivoj's brother and saying the man was worthy of joining them one day. It is unknown if he meant that or if it was a reference to his activities with the Violet Flame Cult, which would lead to the death of (INSERT BROTHER LINK HERE).

Three years prior to the campaign's events, he was sent to Stendolin with a mission to rid the city of the Independent Cities Movement. This assignment was likely arranged by his connections in the Dragotaina and served as a good opportunity to submerge himself into his research. He recalled the patrolling Sila back to the city and killed the high priest in secret, assuming total control over the city's government.

He would be warned of the arrival of the party by the Dragotaina, who would also tell him of the half-vampire travelling with them.

Current

The Emisar would meet the majority of the group, with the exception of Valeyo and Sapphira, during a shopping trip to Waukeen's walk, where he would make pleasantries with Milivoj.

Later in the day, Milivoj took up the man on his offer of help and visited him in the Solar Dome together with Valeyo. The two would talk about Milivoj's brother, who was apparently on a fast track path of becoming an Emisar himself, before his tragic death. The Emisar brought Milivoj to a more private room to talk, where Milivoj saw the iron wagon that the Emisar had arrived with three years ago.

A day later, in the middle of the night, Danil somehow became aware of the party's actions in the temple's catacombs and would prepare a trap for them. Upon their arrival in his room atop the tower, cast a powerful spell, nearly collapsing the entire structure. He would be chased to the ground, where he would repeat the spell, bringing the entire tower down before being slain.

An eruption of Violet Flame engulfed one of his knights' bodies, before flying into his dead lips returning Danil to life. This would not last long, as he would soon have his neck snapped by Milivoj, before being decapitated.

Danil was clearly an influential member of the Violet Flame, having access to dozen of the undying knights they use.

Dragotaina

He appeared to have some connection to the Dragotaina, with them potentially arranging for his assignment to Stendolin and informing him of the party's arrival.
