Description

Drazhen Novosell is the Khert of Novograd and the head of the Yuzhen Clan. He is the father of Milivoj Novosel.

Appearance

Drazhen is a middle aged man who carries himself with an air of nobility. He short hair, once brown, is now peppered with grey streaks and thinning. His body is showing the wear of age, muscular in the past, he has let himself go somewhat in his late years. His clothes are decorating with the symbol of house Novosel and his preferred weapon is a flail. His face bears great similarity to that of his son, Milivoj.

Personality

Drazhen has shown himself to be an arrogant man, behaving rudely to those he deems beneath him. This can bee seen by him, essentially, banishing Milivoj for his condition and the death of Vojmir and his dismissive attitude to Valeyo, base don his disability. He appears to be an expert equestrian and rider, possessing great interest in exotic mounts.

Biography

Early Life

Drazhen was raised as the heir to the Novosel family and future leader to the Yuzhen Clan. He eventually married Tatyana Kostova, the daughter of a noble lord from the capital. The hope was to strengthen the bonds between the Yuzhen Clan and the crown. They would go on to have 5 children, three sons and two daughters. The eldest amongst them, Vojmir, would be raised as the heir.

Vojmir's Death

Vojmir grew up to be the epitome of a noble scion, even gaining the attention of the Emisars, as a potential future member. Unfortunately, tragedy would strike, when in an encounter with the Violet Flame Cult, Vojmir would be killed and Milivoj would be severely injured and afflicted by a supernatural malady. The Khert mourned the death of his eldest son and believed Milivoj to be cursed, wishing to send him overseas.

Auction

In late Keener of Year 10, the Khert would travel with his entourage to Skalenvru. He would serve as escort to the Emisar being appointed there Nika Kavka, but also had his own motivations for the trip. A man he had done business with before, Janske, had a creature for sale that the Khert would want - a winged lion. In addition, there would be a large auction, where an item of interest to the Khert was being sold. That was a spirit board that would allow precise communication with the dead, even without a body. Soon, he would be surprised to hear of his missing son's arrival in the city with a group of strangers. He would meet them face to face right before the auction.
