Description

Parvan Stanov, is a member of the Knyazshtit and the king's own investigator. He is a powerful mage known for being one of the most powerful Kingsguard. He becomes the party's patron following the death of Emisar Danil.

Appearance

Parvan is a six foot two, dark-skinned man in his mid-thirties. He has a slender frame and wears his curly hair tied at the back. His presence exudes an air of authority and he bears a mark distinguishing him as a member of the Knyazshtit. He wears fashionable, but not opulent robes and carries a bag over his shoulder.

Personality

In public, Parvan is a stoic man of near unreadable expression. He seems to dislike being referred to by name, preferring his title of Doctor. When met in his quarters, he is visibly relaxed and more candid than would be expected for one of his station. He is shown to be an extremely intelligent man and well educated, quickly deducing the situation with the Emisar and recognizing the research of Tilda instantly. Despite being one of the Knyazshtit with the greatest influence, he openly despised the exitance of the Dragotaina and their efforts to keep power concentrated at the top.

Biography

Early Life

The Stanov family had been servant of the crown since the time of the Uniter. As such the path for Parven was already paved. He studied with the Conclave and was a member for years, before having to leave due to political differences.

Over the years, he rose to prominence, becoming one of the King's most powerful and trusted Knyazshit, his influence eclipsing even that of Emisars. That is when he started being tasked with cleaning up after the Dragotaina, who's nefarious plans often resulted in death. He did his duty, but was clearly unhappy with the actions of the group of privileged elites and despised being their cleaning man.

To the common people he was know as the investigator, being sent to solve the most difficult cases, or those of greatest importance to the crown. This duty often served as a smokescreen, to hide his activities in cleaning up potential political incidents.

Current

Dr Stanov was informed of the death of an Emisar in Stendolin, one affiliated with the Dragotaina. There were fears, that this could lead to a uprising lead by the I.C.M, who the Emisar had been sent to suppress. For that reason, he was tasked with finding those responsible and ensuring a truce with the I.C.M in exchange for allowing a degree of independence in Stendolin. Dr Stanov teleported to the city and headed to the First Boyar who gave him the description of the party - the culprits.

He easily tracked a few of them to Waukeen's Walk and confronted them, arranging for a full interview later in the day. In the interview, he was given the evidence the group had collected of the Emisar's wrongdoings. He quickly came to the conclusion that the group had done the world a favour, but warned them that he would need time to ensure their exoneration. The group did peak his interest, having heard some stories of their exploits and noting the inclusion of a noble scion and a half-vampirein their flock.

He offered them a deal. His long standing anger at the Dragotaina and at his inability to do something about it, had finally been given a solution. He proposed becoming the party's patron, giving their actions a degree of authority and legal cover, that even Emisars would think twice before questioning and in exchange they would do jobs for him, that his position would normally forbid. The contract was sealed with Otto offering some of his blood and the group being given a writ.

The conversation then turned to the I.C.M and the Dr's goal of preventing further violence. He spoke to Valeyo and asked if he could pass the message that the crown wishes for a truce and are willing to allow Stendolin to hold elections for their own leader, in exchange for stopping the explosive attacks the I.C.M had been perpetrating. The two men came to an agreement and Dr Stanov told them to look forward to his announcement of their innocence and the upcoming election in the coming days.

Some days later, standing atop the entrance to the Solar Dome, the Knyazshtit made his proclamations to the cheer to the citizens, whose opinion of the party had grown, after rumors spread of their slaying of the hated Emisar.
