Description

Rune Olson is a dwarf vampire and the brother of a vampire count of Metua Patrice Olson. He has been a long standing member of the Stormstrike Clan, seeking redemption for the crimes of his youth.

Appearance

Rune normally looks like well-built dwarven man, with pale skin and piercing red eyes, typical for those of the vampiric kind. He wears Kord's holy symbol on a pendant around his neck.

Personality

Lucas is a man deeply regretful of his past misdeeds an looking for redemption. He appears to understand the weight of his sins and was willing to go along with the party's decisions, even if they had decided to kill him, despite admitting he didn't wish to dies.

Biography

Early History

Rune and his brother were turned, years before the founding of Metua, in the mountains near Klipperkant. They served their lord for years, killing and feeding on people in the area. Eventually, a group of adventurers killed their vampire master and so the two of them became trueborn. They chose to pledge loyalty to the adventurers and travelled together with them for a decade. Rune ended up in Klipperkant and found the Stormstrike Clan, whereas his brother went wandering and was eventually found by Lokaci Wuce. As far as he knew, his brother died in the war.

Three years ago, before his captivity, he was on his way to meet the Baron of the Deep, when he was ambushed by the Violet Flame. He realised that he had been betrayed by the Baron, but was unable to defeat the seven knights which had surrounded him and was dragged into the iron cart. The next time he was released was after arriving in Stendolin and being brought to his new prison underneath the Solar Dome. For the next three years he was subjected to torture and experimentation. The Emisar took his blood, his fangs and cut pieces of his body. He fed him all manner of concoctions and exposed him to the sun periodically, in his goal of creating a daywalker.

Current

One day, the door of his prison opened and he was greeted by a new group of individuals. One of them was determined to kill him, deeming him an irredeemable monster, having known of his brother. After sharing his story with them and the long discussion that followed, he was allowed to leave and eventually sent a signal to the Stormstrike for help. Some days later, he would be picked up by Lucas, who took him to Klipperkant.
