Description

Saeed Sharif is a famous smith and the owner of the Hadaad Batal Foundry in Otusta. He is the uncle of Omar Sharif.

Appearance

Saeed is an older man, with darker skin and short greying hair. His body is powerfully built from years of working as a blacksmith and his face lacks facial hair, most of it having been burned by the flames of the forge.

Personality

Saeed is a man who seeks peace and wishes to be left to his work. He is seemingly a pillar of the community and enjoys teaching new blacksmiths his craft. He appears to have been deeply hurt by Omar's betrayal of their family showing some care for their ancestral duty.

Biography

Early Life

Saeed was born a member of the Sharif family in Almanat. Like the rest of his relatives, he was told the story of Almasuan and the Malakagata. It seems likely that he took part in the family duties of protecting the knife, as years later, following Omar's betrayal and subsequent stealing of the knife, Saeed is still furious at his nephew. At some point, following the theft, he moved to Otusta and opened Hadaad Batal Foundry.

Current

While working at the store, like any other day, Saeed was surprised to find a curious group enter. As he turned around, one of the men removed his face covering, revealing a face that Saeed hadn't seen in years - his nephew Omar. The man called out a greetings, but in his rage, Saeed grabbed a nearby hammer and threw it at him, attacking the man with one of the swords on display. Their fight was broken up by the others who had entered and Saeed realized what had happened. The man before him was not Omar, but another, whose body Omar had failed to take over.

This man, Shiekhan Kamala, explained his history with Omar, and their fight and subsequent end. Saeed, realizing that his nephew was dead and their family's legacy had fallen into the hands of one who didn't know the details about it agreed to tell Shiek the dagger's history. He told them of their family duty of protecting the dagger and of Omar's ambitions and betrayal. He suggested they reached out to a friend of his, who would be able to tell them more about the dagger itself.

The group would meet with him again, when they were looking for any magical items, he could provide. He offered them mostly arms and armour and suggested visiting Penance and Co. in Skalenvru, where they run an auction for other wonderous items.
