General
The Yuzhen Clan, is one of the Horse Clans in northern Dragomir. It is the only one of the Horse Clans, to take the side of Dragomir, during the time of the Uniter. Those of the Yuzhen Clan are more welcoming of outsiders and have adopted dress and rituals from Dragomir and other foreign countries. They dress in a more regal, city wear and have moved away from the worship of spirits.
History
During the time of Dragomir, the Uniter, the Yuzhen chief, joined the would-be king and his cavalry lead the assault which would break many of Dragomir's enemies. For this, they were rewarded and remain in the crown's good graces to this day. They have opened their doors to Dragomir's priests, traders and technological progress and have almost completely distanced themselves from the rituals of the clans. This has earned them much ire in the eyes of the other clans, many of whose members, who consider the Yuzhen traitors.

-Noble Ranks (Yuzhen)-
Kraj (King/High Chieftain [disused], Clan Leader)
Vojvod (Duke, War Leader)
Grof (Earl, Chieftain)
Voda (Horse Lord)
Kastel (Baron, Magistrate/Governor [hereditary])
Vitez (Knight, Champion)
Originally, Voda were the leaders of the nomadic tribes of the Yuzhen, the greatest warriors of which were appointed as Vitez and served as champions and bodyguards of the Voda. Vojvod, or War Leaders, were particularly powerful Voda who commanded a number of lesser leaders through conquest or merging of tribes. The Kraj was originally the most powerful of the Vojvod, who were chosen when the Yuzhen banded together to fight as a clan - usually against the other clans or against the men from the south. When the Yuzhen started to settle more semi-permanent holds, the Kastel was a person chosen to oversee the defence of the hold (later becoming a title for a noble granted a small holding). The Voda title fell largely out of use and were replaced with the Grof - noble lords who occupied the same position as they had done under the Vojvod but with more settled lands.
