The Old World is another world from which many of the Gods of the current world fled.

History

Not much is known about the Old World, except that it was destroyed by Tharizdun, killing many gods and species in the process. The final one to fall, was Sardior, who was corrupted by the touch of the Chained Oblivion and barely managed to travel to the Astral Sea, where she died.

The only known way into the Old World, is the Infinite Staircase, which was sealed by Teskus and Sehanine when they fled.

Millenia later, the Order of the Brown Dragon would break the seal and remake it with the help of the returned Sardior. The old seal had had a fatal flaw, that could have allowed Tharizdun to be freed, by creatures in the new world. This was mitigated, when they moved the seal to the Ruby Palace, where it is now being guarded by Sardior.
