The scene turned back to look at the people Cassini scried on in the previous days.

1. Cassini's professor - Ivellios.
2. Mr. Novak.
3. Edge, half-elf from Sapphira's hit squad.

Cassini's attempt at scrying on his professor failed.

They tried to scry on Mr Novak at around 16:00, but failed.

For the third person, Sapphira asked Cassini if he could scry on one of the people of her hit squad, who went by Edge. This actually succeeded and Cassini saw a half-elf woman with a shaved head, one of her half-missing. Scars covered her face, but the rest of her body was covered up in rough leathers, clearly dressed for combat. At her waist were two crude short swords. He turned the censor around and saw that she was riding on a wagon. There were a couple of human and a dwarf in there with her, but they were clearly not travelling together, all of them trying to sit as far from her as possible. The surrounding landscape was unfamiliar, a dry desert-like plane. A chain of mountains rose far to the north, but little else of note could be seen through the censor. He shared this with the group and even tried drawing a portrait of her, but it was not nearly good enough. Shiek said they were likely travelling between one of the smaller settlements or mining towns and Almanat. He tried to think of people matching the description that Cassini gave and while it didn't sound familiar to him, he felt Omar's memories stirring. Images flashed in his eyes and he could piece together that the person in question was a thug for hire, that Omar had heard things about.

They scried on Viper from the Dragotaina. Cassini saw in in a much more humble outfit that last time, dressed as a normal citizen. She was currently walking down Waukeen's Walk in Stendolin, just shopping. Upon taking a closer look, she was doing more than shop, she was clearly observing, with her focus being on Iskra's Collected marvels.

The group began talking about how to deal with the Professor Berkinsail situation. Valeyo insisted that they had to save him, proposing to sneak in, and teleport him out. Shiek opposed the idea, saying that this was too risky and they would be killed if they were caught. Valeyo argued that the Dragotaina already knew who they were and wanted to kill him, pointing out that Viber being in Stendolin showed that they knew they had killed the Emisar. Ultimately Shiek agreed to come with Valeyo and Milivoj to try and check out the dungeon, before deciding.

The three of them walked towards the keep, with Milivoj leading the way. They got through the made gate unimpeded, but once they got closer to the dungeon entrance they saw that there was a high degree of security. Instead if the usual 3-4 that Milivoj was used to, there were almost a dozen. They went past them towards the dungeon, which lead to a room where one household guard of the Novosels was on a desk doing paperwork. He looked suspiciously like Milivoj, could easily be confused for a sibling. The guard soon stopped writing and looked up at them, asking how he could help. Milivoj, still wearing his helmet, said that they needed to speak to one of the prisoners. He asked whose orders they were there on and Valeyo produced the document marking them as a representatives of Dr Stanov. The guard looked over it, and asked if everything was okay. Valeyo assured him it was, but they did need to speak to the prisoners. The guard sighed and stood up producing a ring of keys. He told one of the guards in the room to close the room closed and opened the door behind him, leading down a staircase. On the way down, Valeyo asked the guard if he was a member of the Novosels, as he bore striking resemblance to the Khert. The Guard almost tripped over, coughing nervously, saying this was ridiculous and heading down faster.

Once downstairs, he handed them a key and told them there was an interrogation room at the end of the tunnel, which they could use to speak with the prisoner. On the way out, Milivoj told the guard that it was imperative to speak of this to no one. The man nodded an hurried upstairs. Down the corridor, the group found the cells where Ignacy and Theodore were kept in complete darkness. They took them out of the cells and to the interrogation room, which turned out to be a torture room. Valeyo asked if this was the norm for the Sila and other forces, and Milivoj admitted that it was the sad reality of the how it worked.

Soon after they turned to the prisoners and Valeyo asked them what happened to bring them there. Professor Berkinsail began explaining it. Most of it was what the group already knew, but his memory seemed confused once it came to his capture in a tavern in Krainasto, where he had been bragging about his deeds. His memory was foggy, he couldn't remember how he escaped Dragomir or who helped him.

Ignacy claimed that he was minding his own business, trying to find out what else he could do with the explosives, when over 30 guards burst into his lab in Konskirav and captured him. Valeyo told them what they had missed, regarding Stendolin and the "peace" that the King and Vasil had agreed to. Ignacy said that was the reason that he was experimenting with other uses of the Sky Stone to no avail. Valeyo told them they should expect a rescue soon, but if they fail, they are sorry.

The group returned the prisoners to the cells and rang the bell. A minute or so later the guard returned and led them back up the stairs. On the way out, Valeyo asked the guard's name who introduced himself as Bralazni, or Laz. Milivoj asked him when his shift ends, saying he may return later to speak with him. Before leaving the room, Shiek noted that the man had noted them down as "Crown Operatives". Once they left the keep, he also saw that stood atop the castle, looking down on the grounds, was Mr Novak (Nosferatu looking ass).

Once back with the group they shared their ideas and came up with a plan. A spectral Cassini in spider form, would speak into the jail. He would then polymorph Ignacy, grab the Professor and dimension door outside of the walls, where the others would be waiting. Valeyo will have prepared a teleportation circle to Moratopp and a 100gp go bag and send them away.

The day before the Great Hunt, the decided to enact the plan. In the middle of the day, Cassini made his spidery, invisible way down towards the dungeons. On the way, he saw that in the entry book, following the agents of the crown mark, was another, showing that Mr Novak had visited the prison. He cautiously descended the stairs and saw that there was a light coming from down the corridor with the cells. Peering around the corner, he didn't spot anyone and continued down the hallway carefully. He got close to professor Berkinsail and it looked like he was alive and well, as was Ignacy. Cassini entered the professor's call and transformed, telling him that he needed to relax and he would get him out of there. He nodded and Cassini transformed him into a rat, which he put in the bag of holding. He then wildshaped into a frog and hopped towards Ignacy's cell and asked him to trust him, before preparing to teleport them out.

While this was going on, Shiek was inside the castle walls, pretending to shop, when he noticed a worried Mr Novak, rushing down the stairway from the castle with surprising haste for someone of his build. Shiek rushed to intercept while pulling out the Sending Stone and warned Valeyo of Novak's approach. Valeyo said it was fine, as long as, Cassini worked quickly enough, but Shiek said he would try to do something. He got before Novak, whose superhuman strength proved insufficient to get wily Shiek out of the way. He greeted him and Mr Novak looked down at him before reaching for something beneath his cloak - a gun. He warned Shiek to move out of the way, if he knew what was good for him. Shiek asked what a man this strong needs a gun for. The slender attendant just grinded his teeth saying he would find out if he didn't move. Shiek looked around at the crowd and said this wouldn't do, as they were really loud. In one smooth motion, Mr Novak pulled out the gun and pointed it at Shiek point blank, causing Shiek to step back. Mr Novak, then looked to some guards and told them to escort Shiek out, before heading to the dungeon.

Cassini grabbed hold of Ignacy and Dimension Doored them out to where the others were. Valeyo quickly teleported Ignacy and the Professor to Moratopp telling them to seek out Otto. The group then rushed back to the camp. As they were debriefing about what heppened, with Cassini and Shiek sharing their stories the group realised something. The lantern in the cell of Berkinsail, was on - Mr Noval was watching. This explained how he knew when to rush down to the dungeon and presented a big issue for the group - Cassini had been seen breaking the prisoner's out. Hoping that Mr Novak was the only witness, Valeyo pointed out that it was a case of his word against Cassini's. To be safe against Zone of Truth and other ways of being forced to confess the truth, Valeyo offered to wipe Cassini's memories of the events, which he accepted.
